I have been taking the kids to B&N for 12 years now. My favorite tradition is taking my niece every year for her free Kids Club birthday cupcake. For 2023, they are discontinuing the Kids Club membership and offering a new Barns and Noble Membership and birthday rewards (details to come, see their website). We visit not only to buy books or games or get a cafe item, but to also explore children's story times or other special events. In the past we have been to science events and special releases offering freebies. They sometimes have special guest characters for story time too!
