This is the Franklin Institute permanent exhibits review.
Open daily for single tickets and memberships, the Franklin Institute has it all:
š Fels Planetarium: showtimes every half hour "The giant domeāmeasuring 60 feet in diameterāprovides the ultimate screen for cosmic exploration"
ā”ļøElectricity: many hands on sections and learning opportunities
š§ Brain: there's a whole climbing section for kids and an area of optical illusions
āļø Air: you can climb in a plane for some pictures and experience different air stations
š» Tech: "Show off your engineering skills in Tech Studio. Design, build, and test the most efficient spinning top or construct a K'Nex aircraft that can safely land on the runway. "
š Train: climb aboard a 350 ton train and some picture opportunities with some smaller trains !
š Sport Zone: run, jump, bicycle, swim -- so much to do and test out !
š Space: "Construct a rover and see how it fares on rocky terrain or spin a ball into the Gravity Well and see centripetal force in action. Touch a real meteorite that fell to Earth over 50 million years ago"
š Sir Issacs Loft: "Enter the playground of experimentation and discover falling objects, chain reactions, and optical illusions that bring Newton's laws to life. Pulleys, prisms, and pendulums captivate the mind and illuminate classic scientific principles."
